Robert Johnson, Jr. was born in Washington, D.C. and completed his MFA at the Art Institute of Chicago. He has exhibited work in photography, video, painting, and mixed media in such spaces as the Scollay Square Gallery at Boston City Hall, the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Arts, Staten Island, NY, the Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY, the Painted Bride Art Center, Philadelphia, PA, Fondo del Sol Art Gallery, the Washington Project for the Arts, Washington, DC, the Joe & Emily Lowe Art Gallery, Syracuse University, and the Washington Square East Gallery at New York University, NY.
He currently resides in Hyde Park, MA.
